Top Gifts to give an Artist

Purchasing for an artist can be hard. If you are not in the art world and using art tools daily you may not know where to even begin. As a full-time artist myself, I am here to help! I have selected some top items that I currently own and that is even on my own wish list!

Your artist will be shocked when they unwrap these gifts!

An artist can always use more tools.

The first gift is a micron pen set. I run through these pens like candy. I love having a backup set just in case I am in the middle of a drawing and my favorite pen starts to run low. These pens are affordable and can be found almost anywhere! The second gift is for painters. This paintbrush holder is perfect for keeping things organized. This holder can also hold drawing or colored pencils! The last gift is a light board. This gift is surprisingly affordable and such a great item for artists. It will enhance their drawing skills and open up a new word of creating.

You can never have enough paper

If buying art supplies gets overwhelming, stick to the basics. Paper. An artist can never have enough paper. From newsprint to sketchbooks, to calendars, to artist pads, the paper is always needed. Check out Strathmore Sketchbooks, their many sizes and paper options! The second gift that I personally love getting each year is a new 2021 Calendar notebook. My absolute favorite is from Anthropologie; I love the organization and style. The last gift is an artist board. There are many large artists boards out there, the safe option has clips to hold paper and can be carried. This is a perfect gift for a young artist. It will allow them to travel with that artwork and increase their scale!

Artists Decor

Most artists have a love for funky design and handmade decor. Here I have some of my favorite creators. These are all so varied in work and product, you will for sure find the perfect gift. Piper Pottery has organic elegant ceramic items that are sure to please your minimalist designer friend.
