Taraxa

Taraxa is a tech company founded in San Francisco, California. Their platform is based on tracking informal transactions. Taraxa reached out to me in need of custom illustrations to help better explain their blockchain tracking. I was brought on to design a new color scheme, illustration style, and web banners. I created characters, logo patterns, and interactive scenes for their website and marketing materials. I wanted these characters to be relatable, easily understood, and welcoming. https://www.taraxa.io/

Illustrations and icons

These illustrations were all hand-drawn one-of-a-kind images providing Taraxa with a unique brand look and feel. Each large illustration could also be broken down into small icons to help translate their complex block-chain technology.

Infographics

Taraxa’s app Marinate helps provide information on your informal transactions. I created these infographics merging Taraxa new character illustrators with Marinate branding. These are used on social platforms, newsletters, and pitch decks.

pitch Deck

Following the rebrand I redesigned Taraxa pitch deck, providing new graphic, icons, and illustrations.

Design Process

For this rebrand, I needed to do a lot of research on the company, other tech competitors, and blockchain technology.

I began by choosing a graphic technology-based color scheme that could be transferred to my illustrated characters.

Sketching characters that were relatable, understood, and trendy was the next task. I wanted these characters to be boxy and interchangeable. For their clothing, I created a fabric overlay pattern of their logo deconstructed. These characters are to represent their customers, everyday workers that can use Taraxa anywhere at any time.

Each character scene can be broken down to create smaller icons of that action. This brought consistency throughout the brand.

Edits were made, the new scenes were added and the website layout began.
